SASS is committed to keeping its 2027 Annual Meeting in San Francisco as affordable as possible. Yet registration, travel, and accommodation costs can make participation difficult for scholars with limited institutional support.

Graduate students, independent scholars, and contingent faculty are especially affected. Independent scholars and contingent faculty often have access to even less institutional funding than graduate students.
