Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, is hiring a FT Visiting Faculty of Scandinavian Studies. Duties for this one year position (running from Fall 2023 through Spring 2024) include teaching courses on various Scandinavian topics (Scandinavian languages, culture, history, literature, and/or art etc.). Applicants should also be trained in language pedagogy, with a preference for experience in Swedish (although those with other Scandinavian language proficiency will be considered. Familiarity with ACTFL proficiency guidelines and standards is a plus. Requirements include a PhD (or ABD) in a Scandinavian field. Brigham Young University is an equal opportunity employer.
